Pongal Celebration

Pongal is a traditional harvest festival of Tamil Nadu, celebrated to express our gratitude to nature, farmers, and the Sun God. Our school celebrated Pongal with great joy and enthusiasm. The school campus was beautifully decorated with kolams, sugarcane, and colorful rangolis, creating a festive atmosphere.Students and teachers came dressed in traditional attire. Special programmes such as Pongal song performances, folk dances, and uriyadi were conducted to explain the importance of the festival. A traditional Pongal pot was placed, and Pongal was prepared symbolically, teaching students the values of unity and thankfulness.The celebration helped students understand our culture and traditions and encouraged them to respect agriculture and farmers. The Pongal celebration in our school was joyful, meaningful, and memorable for everyone.
